Tunica albuginea

In anatomy, tunica albuginea ( Latin - anat. ) Is a coarse shell made of tight, collagenous connective tissue that wraps around the testicles , the erectile tissue of the penis , the clitoris and the ovaries . It represents a special form of the connective tissue capsule , which looks whitish due to its densely layered connective tissue fibers and therefore has its name.
