variants

There are four different primary variants and two special versions:

  • Mk.101: Initial version, which was used for the prototypes and the first series machines of the tornado. The model was later replaced by the Mk.103.
  • Mk.103: Standard engine of the Tornado IDS / Recce / GR.4 (also Tornado F.2) *
  • Mk.104: Performance-enhanced version of the Mk.103 for the Tornado F.3 , which has been optimized for greater altitudes.
  • Mk.104D: Special version for the BAe EAP test vehicle
  • Mk.104E: Special version, which also bore the identifier RB199-122. Was installed in the first two prototypes of the Eurofighter EF 2000 Typhoon (DA1 and DA2) until the Eurojet EJ200 was completed.
  • Mk.105: Final version for the Tornado ECR .
