Turner is a census-designated place and an unincorporated community in Blaine County in the US state of Montana .
history
The name Turner comes from one of the earliest inhabitants of the Turner area, the Turner couple. They opened a household goods store for residents in the surrounding areas. The success of the business drew more people to Turner. In 1928 the village was relocated because of the railway construction.
geography
Turner is located in northeast Montana on Route 241 , about eight miles south of the border between the United States and Canada .
The settlement has its own small airfield, which is located directly north of the houses.
