Turo (or Hekamaatrenacht ) was under Ramses III. and Ramses IV. the "High Priest of the Month in Thebes ". At the end of Ramses IV's first year, he led an expedition to Wadi Hammamat . A year later he changed his name from Turo in Hekamaatrenacht , presumably for loyalist reasons.
At the end of the reign of Ramses IV at the earliest, Turo was replaced as high priest by his son Panebmonth. The tomb of Turo TT222 is in Qurnet Murrai . It is also documented by a seated statue from Medamud .
