Turun Weikot
Turun Weikot (abbreviated TuWe ) is a Finnish sports club from the southwestern Finnish city of Turku . The club maintains departments in bowling , boxing , ice hockey , floorball (floorball), soccer , gymnastics , athletics , wrestling and volleyball .
The club was founded in 1912. It is a member of the workers' sports association TUL .
Soccer
The club's soccer department was founded in 1920. In 1929 TuWe TUL became champions. After the war, the national sports federation and the workers' sports federation created a unified gaming operation. From 1948 to 1950 TuWe played in the Mestaruussarja, the highest Finnish league. This was followed by some seasons in the second division in the 1950s and 1960s. In 2011 TuWe competed in the fifth class Nelonen. Since 2002 the club has also provided a women's team that plays under the name TuWe-NICE .
