The Tvibåsen ( Norwegian for double box ) is a valley in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It lies between the Svarthamaren and Cumulusfjellet mountains .
Norwegian cartographers, who descriptively named the valley, mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). The valley owes its name to the Båsbolken rock spur , which divides it into two halves at the head end.
