The Tvireita ( Norwegian for two grooves ) is an approximately 8 km long moraine in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Payer group of Hoelfjella , it is located in the eastern part of the Mendeleev Glacier . It consists of two almost parallel segments that approach each other in a north-easterly direction.
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
