Tweismaker

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tweismaker were small, two-masted dinghies that were used for coastal fishing in the Warnow estuary until the 1930s. The clinker- dinghies were sprietgetakelt and usually had a crew of two.

Since 2017, a group of sailing friends around the boat builder Paul Brümmer has been building a replica of the classic Warnemünder fishing dinghy, no original of which has survived, using traditional boat building methods at the historic boatyard on the grounds of the Iga Park in Rostock . The project is supported by the support groups for the Shipbuilding and Shipping Museum Rostock e. V., the Hanseatic City of Rostock and other sponsors financially.
