The Twin Tarns ( English for twin ponds ) are two directly neighboring small lakes on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the Vestfold Mountains they are 1.3 km northwest of Braunsteffer Lake on the Breidnes Peninsula . The overland route from Davis Station to Platcha Weather Station leads past the lakes.
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them descriptively in 1973.
