The Twinz , The Twinz or Tha Twinz are an American hip-hop duo of West Coast hip-hop and G-funk , consisting of the twins Deon and DeWayne Williams.

Career

The Twinz began their musical career in 1994 on Warren G's album " Regulate ... G Funk Era ", where they played the main roles on the songs "Recognize" and "Runnin 'Wit No Breaks". DeWayne also appeared there on the piece "So Many Ways".

"Regulate ... G Funk Era" was a great success for the publishing label Def Jam Recordings , which then signed the Twinz through their imprint "G Funk Music". In August 1995 her debut "Conversation" appeared on the Warren G was strongly represented. He produced the work, did the songwriting and also performed as a rapper .

The first single from it was "Round & Round", which was able to stay at the bottom of the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks . The album was also listed in the US charts , but was considered a disappointment because of the high expectations.

After the next single "Eastside LB" was only able to place itself in two division hit parades, the Twinz were still working on Warren G's second long player "Take a Look Over Your Shoulder" in 1997, before Def Jam parted ways with them. This required a long break from work. It was not until 2003 that they reappeared as producers on Sheek Louch's album "Walk Witt Me".

In 2005 there was a guest appearance on Foesum's “The Foefathers”, before an EP presented by Snoop Dogg was finally released in 2009 , which was only offered digitally and largely went unnoticed.

No new music followed after that.
