Tzum (magazine)

Tzum is the name of a literary magazine or a literary weblog (Tzum literair weblog) that appears in the Netherlands . The editorial office is located in Groningen in West Friesland .

The magazine offers book reviews , columns , essays , literary news and interviews on literary topics.

Films are posted and poems and feature sections are published. The number of visitors to the weblog is steadily increasing. The magazine has around 100,000 to 150,000 visitors per month (2016).

The magazine also has online sales and the option of a newsletter .

History of Tzum

The first magazine was published in 1998. The website (tzum.info) started in March 2010. In 2012, the 56th edition of the printed magazine was discontinued, and the magazine has worked exclusively via the Internet since then.

The name Tzum

Since the magazine was published in Friesland , they searched for a crazy Frisian place name for the magazine. This is how they came to Tzum, a small village with a thousand souls, which today belongs to the Franekeradeel community.

Since 2002, the awards jury of Tzum editorial annually to Tzumpreis (Tzum-prijs) for the best literary set (of books published last year).
