The Messe-Prater station is an underground station on the Vienna underground line U2 in the 2nd district of Leopoldstadt .

It was handed over to its intended use on May 10, 2008 when the first section of the extension of the U2 between Schottenring and the stadium was released. At the same time, tram line 21 along the exhibition street was also closed . Namesake is on the one hand the Wiener Messe and on the other hand the local recreation area Prater . The station is located south of the Stuwerviertel on the northeast corner of the Wurstelprater amusement district below the exhibition street between Nordportalstrasse and Messeplatz. It can be reached barrier-free by means of lifts , has a central platform and a green roof with lighting openings.
It is the last underground station on the U2 line in the direction of Seestadt .
