The Seestadt underground station is the northeastern terminus of Vienna's U2 underground line in the 22nd district, Donaustadt . It is part of the fourth expansion stage of the Vienna subway and was opened on October 5, 2013 as part of the extension of the U2 line from Aspernstrasse to Seestadt Aspern . It is the second station in Seestadt next to the Aspern Nord underground station .

The station is located right in the center of the Seestadt Aspern, which is under construction (and did not exist around the station in 2013), and spans the lake created there. It is located in a simple elevated position and has a completely enclosed central platform and exits to both banks of the lake. In the southern connection to the terminus at Ada-Lovelace-Straße, a four-track turning system as well as a storage and inspection hall for six long trains were built. For the first time in the history of the Vienna subway construction, these systems were erected in an elevated position as a superstructure of a bridge structure. At the southern entrance there is a bus station on Seestadtstrasse, from which city buses go to Essling and the southwestern Seestadt. The area around the northern entrance is currently being built on.
