At the same time, tram line 21 along the exhibition street was also closed . The station is located on Vorgartenstraße, east of the exhibition grounds and the eponymous Krieau trotting track . It can be reached barrier-free by elevator systems, has a central platform and exits at each end of the platform. The exit towards the city center leads to the exhibition grounds, the exit from the city to the trotting track. The station offers transfer options to the 82A bus line . It is the first above-ground station on the U2 line in the direction of Seestadt .

Design
On behalf of Wiener Linien, numerous pillars of the bridge structure east of the station were painted by artists. In 2013, the French graffiti artist Honet (actually: Cedric Gues) designed 14 pillars in the style of totem poles (hence the name of the installation, Totem Modern ), visually referring to the comic book heroes of the 1970s. Some columns are painted with graphic elements. In 2014, the Brazilian graphic and graffiti artist Speto (actually: Paulo Cesar Silva) painted another 14 columns under the title “3 Brothers”. The installation is dedicated to the brothers Cláudio, Leonardo and Orlando Villas Bôas and is inspired by the myths and stories of the indigenous people of the Amazon basin . The works graphically simulate the black line intersection of the illustrated title pages of the Literatura de Cordel .
