UProm TV , originally also known as YouProm TV , was a German, Munich- based broadcaster with a program focus on broadcasting (community) video clips. The channel was on air from March 2007 to February 2011 as a so-called “2.0 program”. UProm TV was a private specialty program and received its broadcasting license from the Bavarian State Center for New Media . In its meeting on October 12, 2006, the BLM Media Council approved the nationwide digital satellite broadcasting of the program offer for eight years. UProm.TV is a joint venture between the media company FiveWorks GmbH and FIDOR AG, their own specialist in e-commerce and financial services. The sender claim is: UProm.TV - YOU are TV! . The station is also positioning itself as Germany's first digital station with user generated content (UGC).
Internet video platform
From November 20, 2006, the production company's internet video platform was online with a beta version. As a basic component of the program, the user, whose program was composed of viewer-generated content, could upload his own videos. The aim of the station was to find people who have a talent for television. The viewer decides for himself what he wants to see and what is broadcast.

The program consisted of video clips of the broadcaster's viewers and internet users, which had to be uploaded to the broadcaster's website beforehand. The films were divided into certain genres. These were ACTION & SPORTS, FUN & COMEDY, PARTY & EVENT, MUSIK, DOKU, YOU, REPORTER, REISE and BREAKING NEWS. After a certain selection process, the clips were then sent to Onair. The hobby filmmakers and those who sent the contributions that made it onto television also had the chance to present themselves in a special forum on UProm.TV and win an attractive prize or a production contract via TV voting. In addition to these clips, YouProm TV Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH has been operating the stock exchange and information-oriented format UFinance TV since May 21, 2007, which was originally started under the name Fidor Finance TV . The initially offered categories under which the video clips could be classified have now been modified somewhat.
