The USS Saidor (CVE-117) , was an American escort carrier of Commencement Bay class . The Saidor was based on the design of a large tanker, but was designed from the start as a escort aircraft carrier.

Since the series was designed shortly before the end of the war, the ship was no longer used in World War II .

After the war, the Saidor was still used as a photo reconnaissance aircraft during the nuclear tests as part of Operation Crossroads , but was transferred to the reserve as early as 1947 .

In 1970 it was finally deleted from the inventory and later scrapped.
