The U Lomu (German: quarry ) is a hill west of the village Slapany (German: Schloppenhof ) in northern Bohemia . The summit is located at 515 m nm in the middle of Slapanský les (German: Erlholz ) in the Czech part of the cabbage forest in the Fichtel Mountains .
geography
The U Lomu is the highest point of the Slapanský les. To the east of the summit, road 2143 runs from Cheb (German: Eger ) to Slapany.
In the geomorphological classification of the neighboring Czech Republic , the Chebská pahorkatina (German: Egerer Hügelland) is assigned to the (High) Fichtel Mountains as the main unit Smrčiny (I3A-1).
history
In earlier years there was an important road to Eger on the north side.
