Uberuaga Island is an 800 m long island off the Scott coast of East Antarctica, Victoria . It is the easternmost island in the Dailey Islands group .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1999 after Julia Mary Uberuaga (* 1954), who was involved in 20 successive campaigns as part of the United States Antarctic Program between 1979 and 1999 , including at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Area around McMurdo Sound and the Siple Dome .
