Chayanisa Chomchuendee also Sukanya Chomchuendee (born September 9, 1988 in Surin ) is a Thai pole vaulter .

Athletic career

Chayanisa Chomchuendee gained her first international experience in 2009 at the Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi , where she took fourth place with 3.70 m. Shortly afterwards she won the bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Vientiane with 3.75 m behind the Malaysian Roslinda Samsu and Lê Thị Phương from Vietnam. In 2010, she finished in the Asian Games in Guangzhou with 3.80 m in sixth place, and in 2011 she divorced at the World Student Games in Shenzhen with 3.95 m of qualifying. She then took part again in the Southeast Asian Games in Palembang and was there with 3.80 m fifth. Two years later she won the bronze medal behind the Chinese Li Ling and Ren Mengqian at the Asian Championships in Pune with 4.15 m . She then won the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw with a new game and national record of 4.21 m. In 2014 she reached sixth place with 3.90 m at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea .

In 2015 she won the gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore with another 4.10 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju with 3.85 m. In 2017 she won the bronze medal again at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with a jump of 4.10 m behind the Chinese Chen Qiaoling and Li Ling. She then won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with the same jumped height. 2018 she again took to the Asian Games in Jakarta and won there with a new national record of 4.30 meters silver medal behind the Chinese Li Ling. 2019 she won then at the Southeast Asia Games in Capas with 4.10 m silver medal behind the Filipina Natalie Uy .

In 2012, 2014 and 2016 she became the Thai champion in pole vault. She graduated from Bangkok University .
