Udo Köster
Udo Köster (* 1945 in Lenzkirch ) is a German specialist in German.
Life
He studied German, philosophy and sociology at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Berlin (FU). After receiving his doctorate in Berlin in 1970 and his habilitation in Hamburg in 1977, he taught there from 1977 to 2010 as a professor of German literature.
His main focus is the Enlightenment of the Peasants (18th / 19th Century), Vormärz, literature and society in the Empire and Viennese Modernism.
