Udo Meyer
Udo Meyer (born February 5, 1939 in Wuppertal - Elberfeld ) is a German sculptor .
biography
Udo Meyer completed an apprenticeship as a stonemason before studying with Kurt Schwippert at the Werkkunstschule in Wuppertal from 1959 to 1963 and with Zoltan Székessy at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1963 to 1966 . Since completing his studies, he has worked as a freelance academic sculptor in Berlin and since 1969 in Wuppertal . His studio is in the Von-der-Heydt summer house on the Wuppertal Königshöhe.
His works include sculptures and sculptures made of wood, cast bronze, plaster, marble, clay or wax as well as works carved from stone blocks. His subjects include female nudes, busts, heads and small sculptures.
