The Uetersens rose princess (also: Uetersener rose princess ) is a modern shrub rose from the house of W. Kordes' sons . It was introduced for the 775th anniversary of the rose city of Uetersen and the 75th anniversary of the Rosarium Uetersen , the oldest and largest rosarium in Northern Germany.

It is dedicated to the Uetersen rose princesses who represent the city at exhibitions and fairs. Uetersen's rose princess is a sport of the climbing rose Rosarium Uetersen and was publicly baptized in the Uetersener Rosarium by TV presenter John Langley.

It is a frequently blooming shrub rose with an arching overhanging growth. Under good conditions, it can reach a height of one and a half meters. The flower color is pale pink or light pink, which later changes to shimmering silvery. The up to 11 cm large, hardly scented, rosette-shaped flowers are well filled. The rose leaves are mostly medium to dark green and glossy. They bloom from June to the first frost.

'Uetersens Rosenprinzessin' is particularly frost hardy down to −31 ° C ( USDA zone 4 ). It is considered to be particularly weatherproof. The shrub rose is also suitable for trellises and facades. Due to its broad, bushy habit, it can also be used as a single rose.
