Ulf Pilgaard (born November 15, 1940 in Skive ) is a Danish comedian and actor from the field of film and theater.

Life

Pilgaard is the son of a pastor and attended school in Copenhagen with the later film critic Ole Michelsen . He then began studying theology at the University of Aarhus , where he met the later writer and filmmaker Henrik Stangerup .

He let Preben Kaas and Henrik Stangerup dissuade him from his studies and change his mind to become an actor. He made his debut in 1963 and played mostly comedic roles in films and TV series for the next three decades. He became widely known in 1994 for his portrayal of an investigator in the Danish horror thriller " Nightwatch " by Ole Bornedal .

He continues to perform in the entertainment sector and a. at revues, in the theater, on the radio and on television. He is also in his homeland for his parodies of Danish personalities such as B. Kirsten Hüttemeyer , Hanne Bech Hansen , Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and Queen Margrethe II known. As a contributor to "Cirkusrevyen" he has been active for over 40 years.

He has been married to Gitte Pilgaard since 1970 and has two children.
