Ulises Poirier Puelma (nickname: Gringo ) (born February 2, 1897 in Quillota , † March 9, 1977 ) was a Chilean football player .

Poirier, who is written Ulises Poirrier Puelma on his tombstone , played at club level at least in 1927 during the American and European tour for Colo Colo , where he took over the captaincy after the death of David Arellano . He was also active for the Chilean club La Cruz Valparaiso .

National team

The defender was a member of the national team of his home country and participated with her in the Campeonato Sudamericano 1919 (3 missions), 1920 (3 missions), 1922 (4 missions) and 1926 (4 missions) as well as in the first football World Cup in 1930 . There he was only used in the game of Chile against Mexico.
