Ulla Koppel

Ulla Koppel (Ulla Bülow Lemvigh-Müller Koppel, born March 18, 1948 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish actress .

Career

Koppel grew up in an artistically and musically influenced parental home, which is why she came into contact with music and singing at an early age and also got piano lessons. In her youth, Koppel worked at various amateur theaters and then at the Odense Teater in Odense . Before attending drama school, she was also a prompter at the Boldhus Theater in Copenhagen. She became known to German audiences in particular through the Danish film adaptation of Henry Miller's novel Stille Tage in Clichy in 1970, in which she played one of the leading roles.

Ulla Koppel was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis , which she has been suffering from for some time. She is currently working as a painter and graphic artist, also due to illness.

family

On August 11, 1969, she married the composer and musician Anders Koppel . Their son Benjamin Koppel (born 1974) is a jazz - saxophonist , bandleader, composer and music producer ; her first daughter Sara Koppel (* 1970) is an artist and painter; her second daughter Marie Carmen Koppel (* 1971) is a soul and gospel singer.
