Ulle Schauws (actually Ursula Schauws, born April 30, 1966 in Hüls ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She has been a member of the German Bundestag since the 18th electoral term.

Life

Schauws studied film and television studies, history and political science . After completing her studies, she worked as an editor and dramaturge at a film agency. Later she worked for an educational institution for socio-political studies in Brühl. From 2004 she was employed by the SOS Children's Village Niederrhein advising the unemployed . In 2009 and 2013 she ran for the Bundestag in the Bundestag constituency Krefeld II - Wesel II . On September 22, 2013, she managed to get into the Bundestag in the 2013 Bundestag election via a Green list. Schauws lives with her partner in Krefeld .

In the 18th electoral term of the German Bundestag she was the women's and cultural policy spokeswoman for the Green parliamentary group, chairwoman in the committee for culture and media and a full member of the committees for culture and media as well as family, senior citizens, women and youth. She was also secretary in the German Bundestag. In the 19th electoral term, she is women's and queer policy spokeswoman for the Green parliamentary group, deputy chairwoman and chairwoman of the committee on family, senior citizens, women and youth and a deputy member of the committee on law and consumer protection.

For the 2017 federal election she ran for 11th place on the state list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and again as a direct candidate in the Krefeld II - Wesel II constituency . Schauws moved back into the German Bundestag via the North Rhine-Westphalian state list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .
