Ullrich Masberg

Ullrich Masberg (* 1947 ; † March 25, 2011 ) was a German mechanical engineer.

Ullrich Masberg studied mechanical engineering in Wuppertal and Aachen. At the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University, he received his doctorate in 1981 under Professor Georg Menges with the thesis "Use of the method of finite elements for the design of extrusion tools" as a Dr.-Ing. He then switched to industry, where he worked for the Freudenberg and Veritas AG group of companies. In 1990 he became a board member of Clouth Gummiwerke AG in Cologne and in 1998 was responsible for integration into Continental AG . Then he was Managing Director of Continental ISAD.

In 2002 he founded a consulting company and in 2005 was a partner and managing director of CAS Computer Supported Automation Systems in Reinbek .

Masberg was chairman of the German Rubber Society from 2000 to 2003 and since 1998 honorary professor at RWTH Aachen University . In 1997 he was awarded the German Business Innovation Prize for the ISAD (Integrated Starter Alternator Damper) system.
