Ulrich Dietz
Ulrich Dietz (born January 25, 1958 in Pforzheim ) is a German manager, former CEO of GFT Technologies SE .
Life
After completing an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer, Dietz completed a degree in mechanical engineering and product engineering at the Reutlingen and Furtwangen universities of applied sciences with a degree in engineering .
The GFT (Society for Technology Transfer) was founded on March 19, 1987 by Michael Schönemann as the sole shareholder. Ulrich Dietz has been managing director since it was founded. In 1989 he initially took over 75 percent, and finally 100 percent of the company shares in 1991.
Since October 5, 1998 Dietz has been CEO of GFT Technologies SE . At the end of the Annual General Meeting on May 31, 2017, Marika Lulay took over the management of the company. Today Dietz is Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Ulrich Dietz has led the company since GFT Technologies was founded. In 1999 he brought GFT to the stock exchange. In the following years, Dietz pursued a continuous expansion strategy - both internationally and organically. Under his leadership, GFT had 4,493 employees in twelve countries in June 2016. Dietz holds 26.3 percent of the shares in GFT.
In 2003 Ulrich Dietz was elected to the Presidium of the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media eV (BITKOM); since June 2013 he has been the association's vice-president.
Between 1996 and 2012 Dietz held lectureships at the HFU Business School Furtwangen, the University of Hohenheim and the Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen.
Dietz has been managing director of the venture capital company RB Capital GmbH, which he founded, since 2017.
