Ulrich Grünsleder

Ulrich Grünsleder , also Ulrich Grünleder (* in Vohenstrauß ; † April 1, 1421 in Regensburg ) was a German priest and follower of Jan Hus .

Life

Grünsleder studied theology in Prague and got to know the writings of Jan Hus, which convinced him. He was ordained a priest in Regensburg and was a chaplain at the Aha Church there. He translated several of Hus's writings into German and distributed them. Therefore, Bishop Albert III let him . arrested on May 25, 1420 in Regensburg Cathedral . Grünsleder openly confessed to being a supporter of Hussitism and was then burned at the stake .
