Ulrich Gygi

Ulrich Gygi (born December 6, 1946 ) was the CEO of Swiss Post from 2000 to 2009 . From the beginning of 2009 until June 15, 2016, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Federal Railways .

Gygi attended grammar school in Bern and studied economics at the University of Bern from 1966 to 1971 , where he obtained a doctorate in 1980 with a dissertation on research problems in business administration. rer. pole. PhD.

In 1979 Ulrich Gygi joined the Federal Finance Administration (FFA). From 1989 to 2000 he was their director and in this role he led projects such as the reorganization of financial equalization between the Confederation and the cantons and the partial privatization of Swisscom .
