Ulrich Hasenkamp

Ulrich Hasenkamp (* 1949 ) is a German business IT specialist and university professor.

Career

After graduating from high school, Hasenkamp first studied economics at the University of Bochum from 1967 .

He then completed his further training at the University of Cologne , where he graduated in business administration in 1973 and graduated in business education in 1976 as a business teacher. His doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. took place in 1979 (topic of the doctoral thesis: simulation of computer networks ). In 1988 he obtained his habilitation with a thesis on workflow management . Hasenkamp was a research assistant at the Chair of Computer Science from 1973 to 1988 and went to the IBM Research Laboratory in San José , California as a postdoc for one year in 1982 .

In 1989 he followed a call to the Philipps University of Marburg , where he taught the subjects of general business administration and business informatics until September 30, 2014. His main focus is on the research area Computer Supported Cooperative Work .

Together with the business informatics specialist Peter Stahlknecht , he published the textbook Introduction to Business Informatics , which is considered to be one of the standard works in this field.

Others

Besides his work as a university teacher, he was from 1992 to 2000 editor of the journal Economics computer science .

Hasenkamp is married and has two daughters.
