Ulrich Heinemann

Ulrich Heinemann (* 1950 ) is a German former ministerial official and historian .

Life

After finishing secondary school, Heinemann completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale salesman. Following his technical college entrance qualification, he studied business administration (graduate in business administration), vocational education and history at the University of Applied Sciences and the Ruhr University in Bochum , which he completed with the first state examination for teaching at vocational schools. This was followed in 1981 with a doctorate in contemporary history and a job as a research assistant at the Ruhr University in Bochum with Hans Mommsen . Heinemann then worked in adult education and since 1985 in the North Rhine-Westphalian ministerial administration. Initially he worked in the State Center for Civic Education in North Rhine-Westphalia , since 1991 he has been head of department in the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia and from 1999 group leader in the science section of what was then the Ministry of Education and Science. Since 2003 he has been head of department in the North Rhine-Westphalia School Ministry, responsible for teacher training, individual support, international affairs, quality analysis and general training. Until the end of 2015 he worked as a department head in the Ministry for Schools and Further Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Since his retirement, Heinemann has been a lecturer at the universities of Münster (educational sciences), Bochum (social sciences), Duisburg-Essen (adult education) and Tübingen (adult education).
