Ulrich Heinrich (born December 11, 1939 in Tettnang ; † October 16, 2007 in Heidelberg ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and politics

Ulrich Heinrich was a self-employed foreman and ran his own business in Neuenstein .

He was a member of the German Bundestag from February 18, 1987 to 2005 (five electoral terms) and was elected via the state list of the FDP in Baden-Württemberg (constituency Schwäbisch Hall - Hohenlohe ). From 1994 to 2002 he was the parliamentary managing director of the FDP parliamentary group and chairman of the Baden-Württemberg state group; from 2002 to 2005 he was a member of the committee for economic cooperation and development and the agricultural policy spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group. Heinrich was a member of the Neuenstein town council from 1980 to 1989.

In 2007 Heinrich was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

He was married to Renate Heinrich. The marriage resulted in 4 children. On December 4th, 2008, Renate Heinrich was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for her extraordinarily great commitment in various honorary posts for women in rural areas.
