Ulrich I. (Leuchtenberg)

Ulrich I. von Leuchtenberg (* 1293 ; † November 23, 1334 in Walderbach ) was Landgrave von Leuchtenberg .

He was the son and heir of Landgrave Gebhard VI. von Leuchtenberg (* 1230; † 19 May 1293 in Nuremberg) and his wife Jutta von Schlüsselberg (* 1260; † 1309). Beatrix von Leuchtenberg († April 25, 1334) was his sister.

Ulrich I. von Leuchtenberg was able to acquire the town of Pfreimd in 1332 . Pfreimd later became the residence of the Landgraves of Leuchtenberg. In 1313 he took part in the Battle of Gammelsdorf on the side of Ludwig the Bavarian . In 1334 he died in the Cistercian monastery in Walderbach .

Ulrich I. von Leuchtenberg was married twice. His first marriage was with Elisabeth, the second with Anna of Nuremberg (* 1314, † 1340), whom he married on April 23, 1328.
