Ulrich Come
Ulrich Komm (born January 18, 1913 in Rheinswein , East Prussia ; † 1986 ) was a German-speaking writer who was mainly known for describing hunting and sea adventures.
After finishing secondary school in Bischofsburg (East Prussia) and an apprenticeship in forestry , he also passed the examination to become a district forester . During the Second World War Ulrich Come 1943 led as chief a company of the notorious criminal division 999 and got into Greece in British captivity , from which he was released in the Soviet occupation zone 1948th
Komm worked as an unskilled worker for a while, but then returned to the forestry as an instructor and clerk. After studying literature at the Johannes R. Becher Institute in Leipzig from 1956 to 1958, he finally settled as a freelance writer in the small town of Groß Ridsenow , Rostock district , Mecklenburg / Western Pomerania.
His greatest literary achievement is the autobiographical novel "Im Frühlicht", in which he describes his time as a company commander in a punitive unit.
