Ulrich Lehmann (rider)
Ulrich Lehmann (born January 26, 1944 in Gontenschwil ) is a former Swiss dressage rider .
Life
Lehmann grew up on a farm near Gontenschwil in Oberwynental in Aargau and is based in Bern . His father was a horse breeder. He was an adjutant sergeant and a federally certified riding instructor. For 30 years he was a trainer at the Swiss Federal Military Horse Institute (EMPFA). As a team rider he won ten championship medals in the team and two Swiss championship titles and at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal with the horse Widin and silver with Christine Stückelberger and Doris Ramseier .
Lehmann had to undergo hip surgery at the age of 47, but he rode regularly until 2010 and has been supporting the Swiss cavalry squadron in 1972 since 1995 . He is married to Susanne.
