Ulrich Siegrist (born June 4, 1945 in Fahrwangen , Canton Aargau ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP / Forum Liberale Mitte ) who was active until 2007.

Siegrist was from August 1979 to May 1983 Grand Council . From June 1983 to September 1999 he was a member of the government council of his canton. Between December 1999 and October 2007 he was a member of the National Council, where he sat on the Security Policy Commission and the Commission on Legal Issues .

Siegrist was a long-time member of the Swiss People's Party , resigned from the party in May 2006. He then exercised his mandate as a non-attached National Council. In July 2007 Siegrist founded the new party Forum Liberale Mitte , which ran unsuccessfully for the National Council elections in autumn 2007 .

Siegrist was the central president of the Swiss Officers' Society . He worked as a militia officer with the degree of colonel in the general staff in various staff functions.
