Ulrich IV von Schlüsselberg († August 11, 1322 in Avignon ) was the chosen bishop of Bamberg and Bressanone , but renounced the Bamberg post and died before taking office in Brixen.

Ulrich von Schlüsselberg was born as the son of Ulrich III. Born of the noble family von Schlüsselberg in the diocese of Bamberg. He became a canon in Bamberg and studied in Bologna from 1302 to 1303, was dean of the cathedral in 1306 and provost of Sankt Stephan zu Bamberg in 1313 .

After the death of Bamberg's bishop Wulfing von Stubenberg , Ulrich was elected bishop in a double election against Konrad von Giech by part of the Bamberg cathedral chapter in 1318 . The two competitors went to Avignon , where the investigation into the election was planned. On the way there, Konrad von Giech died unexpectedly. But Ulrich waived his rights for unexplained reasons when the investigation into the Avignon election was delayed.

After the Brixen bishop Johann Wulfing von Schlackenwerth was elected as the new Bamberg bishop, the pope was entitled to fill Brixen. In June 1322 the election of Pope John XXII fell. on Ulrich von Schlüsselberg. However, Ulrich died about two months after the election in Avignon without ever having entered his diocese or having been consecrated.
