Ulrike Hauröder-Strüning

Ulrike Hauröder-Strüning (born December 17, 1956 ) is a geologist and has been President of the Federal Office for Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Services of the Bundeswehr (BAIUDBw) in Bonn since January 2, 2017 .

Life

Hauröder-Strüning studied geology in Bonn. From 1984 to 1990 she worked in the Department of Defense Geophysics in Traben-Trarbach . She was then used as a consultant in Department S in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in Bonn until 1997 . From 1997 to 2004, Hauröder-Strüning was the special commissioner for housing the BMVg. In 2004 she was head of department WV IV 3 in the BMVg, where she was responsible for sustainable development, environmental and fire protection and the transport of dangerous goods . In the same year she changed as head of division to division WV III 6/8 “Infrastructure matters in the defense areas, housing the BMVg in Bonn and Berlin ”. In 2008 Hauröder-Strüning became sub-department head WV III “Infrastructure” in the BMVg. Since 2012 the sub-department has been called IUD I “Infrastructure”. At the beginning of 2017 she took over her current position as President of the BAIUDBw. When she took office, she was the first female president of a higher federal authority in the BMVg's business area.

Private

Hauröder-Strüning grew up in Andernach and lives with her family in Wittlich . Her father Franz Hauröder also worked in the Bundeswehr administration.
