Ulrike Nolte
Ulrike Nolte (* 6. August 1973 in Essen ) is a science fiction - writer and translator .
Life
Ulrike Nolte studied Nordic studies , German studies and political science , and received her doctorate in 2002 on Nordic studies. She initially worked as a lecturer. Since 2003 she has been a freelance writer and translator for Swedish and English-language literature.
Since 1999, stories about her have appeared in various science fiction magazines. Her first novel, Jägerwelten, followed in 2000 . Her second novel, The Five Souls of the Ancestors , was awarded the German Science Fiction Prize 2007 as "Best Novel". After that, she mainly published children's and youth literature.
