Ulugbek Alimov

Ulugbek Alimow ( Uzbek Ulugʻbek Abdumajitovich Alimov ; born April 6, 1989 ) is an Uzbek weightlifter . He won a bronze medal in the middleweight duel at the 2013 World Championships .

Career

Ulugbek Alimow is a student at the Staatl. Sports University in Tashkent . Since 2011 he has started with good success at international championships.

His first participation in such a championship was at the Universiade 2011 in Shenzen / China. He came there in the middleweight duel to 314 kg (137-177) and reached 8th place. In 2012 he started in Pyoentaek / South Korea at the Asian Cup and won the title there with a duel of 335 kg (145-190).

In June 2013 he took part again in the Asian Cup, which took place in Astana. Although he increased his performance to 340 kg (150-190), he still only came in 5th place because four other athletes managed even more. In July 2013 he won the silver medal at the Universiade in Kazan with 351 kg (154-197) behind Rasoul Taghian , Iran, 355 kg (157-198). At the World Cup in October 2013, he increased his performance again. He reached there in the middleweight duel 355 kg (158-197) and won with this performance hzinter Lu Xiaojun , China, who on 380 kg (176-204) and Kim Kwang-Son , North Korea, 359 kg (163-196) the World Cup bronze medal in a duel and a World Cup silver medal with his performance in pushing.
