The incremental economic designated by congresses , fairs , exhibitions and events in a city and their district or region indirectly, so in a roundabout way, resulting overall yield , resulting in jobs, revenue and ultimately taxes reflects. In addition to the direct economic effects of an event, indirect and induced effects are also caused in the economy. The indirect profitability states whether, thanks to the indirect return, a positive overall economic result is achieved.

With the organization of a congress or a trade fair, not only the (organizer) generates sales, but also gastronomy such as restaurants, hotels , shops and public transport as well as taxi companies benefit from the conference, trade fair and event guests. The congress, trade fair and event business is therefore of great importance for growth and employment in a city and its surroundings.

Last but not least, tax revenues generated by congresses, fairs and events also play an important economic role. As a result of production processes, the incomes and profits resulting therefrom, as well as private consumption , tax revenues are generated for all regional authorities from congresses, trade fairs and events.
