Environmental technology degree
Environmental technology is an interdisciplinary course with a focus on sustainability along the entire value chain . The environmental technology course is mathematically and scientifically oriented and combines the topics of environmental protection , recycling and sustainable product design .
This engineering education is required above all in the area of "Green Technologies".
Sometimes the term environmental technology is also used, although not only the name, but also the content of the course may vary.
The course is mostly practical and geared towards the needs of industry .
Education
Environmental technology is offered as a course of study at both universities and technical colleges.
The environmental technology course is mathematically and scientifically oriented and combines the topics of environmental protection , recycling and sustainable product design . Water and soil protection , air purification and pollution control . Waste disposal and renewable energies are also important topics in the course.
Depending on the university, laboratory internships and practical project experiments are important components of the curriculum .
In addition to the compulsory modules, students can acquire additional skills at some locations, for example in business or social skills .
The course usually includes 6 theoretical and 1 practical semesters.
The degree obtained is Bachelor of Engineering .
Locations
On the Burghausen campus , the location of the Technical University of Rosenheim , the environmental technology course will be offered from the winter semester 2020/21.
The bachelor's degree in environmental technology can be studied at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Muttenz .
The East Bavarian Technical University of Amberg-Weiden offers the master's degree in environmental technology.
MCI Management Center Innsbruck offers a bachelor's degree in environmental , process and energy engineering .
