Hans Nanny

Hans Nänny (born April 2, 1914 in Hundwil ; † September 17, 1993 in Bühler ; resident in Herisau ) was a Swiss businessman , cantonal councilor and councilor from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Life

Hans Nänny was a son of Hans Jakob Nänny, teacher , and Louise Signer. In 1939 he married Martha Rüdisühli, daughter of Adolf Rüdisühli, municipality captain and co-owner of a case - and cardboard mill . Until 1933 he attended the Trogen Cantonal School . He did a commercial apprenticeship in St. Gallen . In 1938 he joined the company of his future father-in-law in Bühler. In this company he received the power of attorney in 1941 . From 1945 he was a partner in this company. From 1947 this was run under the name Rüdisühli, Nänny & Compagnie. Until 1988 he was a member of the management. From 1944 to 1950 he served as president of the municipal court. Between 1952 and 1954 he held the office of District Court President . From 1954 to 1964 he presided over the High Court . From 1964 to 1978 he was a free-thinking Ausserrhoder cantonal councilor. From 1963 to 1975 he was a member of the Council of States. In the federal parliament , where he initially felt strange "as a simple citizen", Nänny was President of the Council of States Finance Commission as well as a member of the military and the commission of inquiry into the Mirage affair . From 1967 to 1974 he played a key role in the reorganization of the Ausserrhod judiciary.
