Independent voting community Schleswig-Holstein
The Independent Community of Voters Schleswig-Holstein (UWSH) was a party that took part in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein at the end of the 1980s .
history
The UWSH relied on some predecessor organizations such as ULB (Independent Lübeck Citizens), UWD (Independent Voters 'Community Dithmarschen) and UWH (Independent Voters' Community Hennstedt) and was founded in 1986 by various local politicians and the Braunschweig TU Professor Reinhardt Guldager (Mayor of Hennstedt and parliamentary group chairman in the district council von Dithmarschen ). She ran with Guldager as the top candidate for the state elections in 1987 and achieved 1.3%, in the early state elections on May 8, 1988 only 0.8%.
In the run-up to the 1987 election, it was announced that Guldager had met with Prime Minister Barschel. As part of the investigation into the Barschel affair , it became clear that Reiner Pfeiffer had published this information on behalf of Barschel and developed further actions to bring discord to the UWSH. The UWSH had previously been given 3% to 5%.
Program
In particular, the UWSH advocated the interests of medium-sized businesses, trades and agriculture. Chairman Guldager was particularly committed to better regional development planning. One of the demands of the UWSH, the establishment of an independent Ministry for Environment and State Planning, was implemented by the SPD-led state government. The first environment minister was the independent Kiel university professor Berndt Heydemann .
