União de Freguesias the Alfundão e Peroguarda shortly Alfundão e Peroguarda is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese region of Alentejo . It belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Ferreira do Alentejo , in the district of Beja .

1,227 inhabitants live here on an area of ​​88.33 km² (figures as of June 30, 2011).

The municipality was created on September 29, 2013 as part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal from the merger of the municipalities of Alfundão and Peroguarda . The seat became Alfundão.
