concept

The vehicle concept

The vehicle concept consisted of combining a van with an aluminum body and a hybrid drive in one vehicle. There are similarities with the structure of the body of the Audi A2 and the drive technology of the Toyota Prius , but both vehicles are considerably smaller than the Uni1.

The Uni1 was co-developed and built by the prototype manufacturer Lorenz und Rankl Fahrzeugbau GmbH Sachsen , Fichtel und Sachs AG and IAV Motor GmbH .

technology

Hybrid drive, consisting of a 66 kW 1.9l diesel engine and a 30 kW DC motor.

drive

The hybrid drive consists of a VW TDI diesel engine and an electric motor arranged between the combustion engine and the transmission. Both drive motors are connected in a line with the automated clutch and the automated 5-speed gearbox.

body

The vehicle has an aluminum - Space Cage -Karosserie, with inserted and tapped connection node.

It is designed for seven passengers.

The design is very spacious and designed to meet the needs of taxi drivers and families.

Body styles

A van in two different lengths and a pick-up with a payload of 600 kg and 725 kg respectively were planned.

financing

The development costs amounted to DM 15 million, the state of Saxony assumed 60% of the costs.
