The transport company Unifeeder in Aarhus, Denmark is the largest northern European feeder company for containers in the shipping sector.

The Unifeeder A / S was founded in March 1977 by Peter Bohnsen and Tonny D. Paulsen shipping and line agency. The company offers transport services such as freight forwarding, ship brokerage and container leasing, among other things . The main area of ​​activity of the company is the feeder service and the shortsea service with containers, which, with almost 60 chartered feeder ships, offers the largest Northern European feeder network for short- haul container transport. In addition, Unifeeder also offers a more extensive door-to-door service in which the entire transport is organized.

Around 80 people are employed at the headquarters in Aarhus. A total of around 300 employees work in twelve offices and in ten European countries. In 2009 Unifeeder took in almost 256 million euros. During the market weakness in the middle of the 2010s, the annual result fell to around eleven million euros.

In 2013, Nordic Capital took over the company for three billion Danish kroner and reorganized Unifeeder. In 2017 Unifeeder had a turnover of 510 million euros. Around 3.2 million TEU were transported with around 60 charter ships  .

In the summer of 2018, the terminal operator DP World from Dubai took over Unifeeder for 4.9 billion Danish kroner (660 million euros) from Nordic Capital and other minority owners . Unifeeder is to be continued as an independent company.

The company is a member of the ShortSeaShipping Inland Waterway Promotion Center .
