The music project Unisono is a charity project from Lingen (Ems) whose main task is youth engagement under the motto "Music for a good cause". In addition to the musical development of the young people, the focus is on social help for projects in Africa. With its commitment, the association of the same name "Unisono eV" has already gained relevance throughout Germany. In the meantime, over 50,000 € donations have been collected (as of November 9, 2019).

development

The music project was founded by Lukas Lessing in 2012 and initially existed as a simple band project under the motto "Music for a good cause". After a large number of appearances in Lower Saxony, "Unisono" has gained popularity and has been awarded prizes at regional, state and federal level. Winning the Golden Brat 2015 (the highest endowed prize for child and youth engagement at federal level), advertised by the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk , represents the high point of the project so far. In addition to a reception at Bellevue Palace at Daniela Schadt's, through being awarded the Youth Help Prize In 2014 and through a report by the dpa , Unisono won both moral and financial support from prominent personalities such as Jana Pallaske , Marc Liebisch , Santiago Ziesmer and Martin Kluge . The music project was nominated for the 2015 German Engagement Prize in 2015, but was not awarded. At the 2015 German Citizens' Prize, Unisono made it into the preliminary round of the ten best nationwide projects, but also missed the final round and the associated award. Unisono supports a school in Cape Town , South Africa called Crosspoint Academy (emerged from Immanuel's Haven Private School ). For the previous project, the Immanuel's Haven orphanage , Unisono launched the MySongforChiChi social media campaign in addition to income from donations and concerts . By singing well-known children's songs, donations were collected for the project.
