The National Public Research University Nikolay Chernyshevsky Saratov or (short Saratov State University , Russian Саратовский национальный исследовательский государственный университет имени Н. Г. The newly founded university in 1909

The Imperial University of Saratov was founded on December 6, 1909, making it one of the oldest universities in Russia and the oldest and largest university in the city of Saratov in southern Russia. In 2010, it received the title of National Research University of Russia and was renamed from Saratov State University to Saratov National State Research University.

The approximately 30,000 enrolled students are looked after by approximately 2,400 university professors. Of the university professors, more than 250 have completed their habilitation and more than 1000 have doctorates in their fields.

Awards

In April 2006, a team from Saratov State University won the finals of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest in San Antonio , Texas .
